so....the petition thing went down really badly.....ive baisically been told that i cant have my group unless some nurse or someone medically trained owns it. what difference does it make? can they understand the emotional pain more than someone who has been through it? i dont fucking think so.
im soo upset cos i just did what i thought was a good idea and what people told me they thought i should do to get this group approved and i feel like the mods are pissed off at me. for gods sake.....its a pretty important group.
they say that they cant remember declining the group......thats not my problem...and i dont appreciate it being pointed out in the threads i created cos it makes it seem like i lied.
im so dissapointed, and disheartened.sg is really pissing me off.
edited to say:this isnt me trying to make anybody explain anything, this is my journal, ill say whatever i want, and feel.

I think its rediculious that they require someone with medical background to have that group. First hand experience is the best way to truly understand and be able to relate with the people you are trying to help. And that way they always feel more comfortable speaking with you. A lot of people who run abuse/trauma groups have no medical experience either, just personal experience. You would have made a great group owner, and I'm sorry to hear that they turned it down.
