They have Boxing Day in the UK too, that's why Canada has it. Back in the Victorian era it was the day that people 1. boxed up the left-overs from Christmas dinner and gave them away to poor people; or 2. opened up the "poor boxes" in churches and distributed the money inside to poor people. Nobody does either of these anymore that I know of. Oh, and I like to refer to it as Wrestling Day.

Yeah, you're absolutely right, it is quite the interesting stuff. The discovery channel is one of the only television programs that I care to watch, but I never really watch it. I think I might have seen that program that you were talking about, the one that was based on daniken's book, but I cant really remember if I did or not. The discovery Channel has some great info on it.
