i have got the new MCR album, yeah. i got it the day it came out. to be honest, i've got pretty mixed feelings about it. i mean, i really like all the songs on it...in fact, i don't think there's a single weak song on there...but at the same time, it just doesn't really feel like an MCR album to me. that said, they keep on going on about how the black parade is an alter-ego and not really them, so i guess it figures that it doesn't really sound like MCR. i think that it's perhaps the fact that the new album just doesn't seem to have the same sense of speed and urgency as the last two did that makes me feel a little disenclined to se it as an MCR album. to be honest, i just hope that MCR don't turn into the gerard way show, because that's kinda what seems to be happening to me. like i said, musically, i think the album's great...i just hope that this whole black parade thing is a one-off and that the next album is a little more old-skool MCR.
are you going to see them next year? we're going to the one at the MEN arena in manchester. we're really looking forward to it =)
