So I just submitted a short story to a literary journal in hopes of getting something published. Now I have to wait until they get back to me with what most likely will be a rejection, and then I can try again. This is going to be a nerve wracking couple days. The committee for my paper defense were a trio of older professors. And they spent a nice amount of time tearing me and my paper apart. But in the end, beaten and bruised, I passed my defense. So a little bit of paperwork pending, I have a master's degree now.

So I'm supposed to defend my paper tomorrow. If successful I graduate with my masters degree. And I can't freaking sleep. The weird part about this is that I had my hooding ceremony today. So I got to do that as though I were graduating, but I won't know for sure until at least tomorrow. Hopefully it all goes well.

So growing up, my older brother would kick my ass at any fighting game we ever played. Especially mortal kombat. And I mean mercilessly too. He never even threw me a mercy win.
