You know, even if nobody ends up reading this story I'm working on. Even if I never manage to finish it. I'm so glad that I'm writing it. I just added another, maybe 6 pages worth to it? And I really haven't felt this good in a long time. Every time I manage a solid chunk of work like this, it just feels so amazing. I don't think I fully appreciated how cathartic writing could be until now. Hopefully I can keep this up, but motivation is a strange beast. You never know what tomorrow will bring.
Side note, to those of you who keep encouraging me to keep going... Thank you. Thank you so much. I don't know if you realize how much it means to me.

Having finally set myself a deadline (only after ten years of writing the damn thing!) has helped me immensely to keep on writing. Should I ever get picked up by a publisher, I know I’ll need to increase my output, of course, but that is not a consideration, other than the three other ideas that I have for writing projects…
