I should be sleeping. I am tempted to blame work. Saturday night was to be a short four hour shift, but nitwit did not show up for his night shift--fell and hurt his back while shovelling snow at home. So I ended up working twelve hours, crashing for five hours, and working Sunday evening. Now I am restless at three in the morning.

I am too intense sometimes.
Why I am no longer a manager--reason #27.
I am gonna drive to work...-35C is borderline, but add on another -12C for windchill and lethargy enfolds. If I knew the bike paths were clear of snow I might have some resolve. Yesterday I had to stick to the roads, in rush hour's full swing. Did I mention that the suburbs suck! No straight roads, and only one path to your destination.
I was tired and cranky at work today...spent too much time last night pondering my circumstances. I am (gonna be) a lonely old man.
So, today is the official start of my base training... gonna run to the gym, do some laps in the pool, and then run back home. My version of a brick. Six weeks of base, followed by six weeks of intensity,... Read More
and just remember...Excuses are for the weak!
Have a good run...
did the run after work...
