I've started to go to the gym to do some stuff to help my slide in fitness level.... stationary bike and walking.....who knew you can maintain a 145bpm heart rate while walking an incline at a slow rate of speed?
Just got off my last night shift until the fall! I use to enjoy the respite night shifts gave you--a quiet and productive shift. But with my current ennui I just lack the motivation to use my time constructively, and once the coffee rush starts I get cranky with the customers.

bike accident...car was turning left...my choices - hit car or make hard right turn...I turned right doing about 20mph, made the turn, but was hugging the curb and loosing balance...I tried to throw myself into a soft landing on the grass, I hit shoulder first...hard...I turned over and knew it was broken...
I can't swim, run, or bike outdoors...The doctor said I could go walking, so I will...I don't think she knew I was planning on walking a lot and often...Also I just put my bike back in my trainer and got on it to see if maybe I could do some indoor biking...I think I can get away with some biking without damage to my healing bone...
So, I went out for beers after work, and now life does not seem so intense. That is my current malady, too much isolation. Perhaps isolation is the dream killer is a trite truism, but it does have a modicum of authenticity.
