RACE REPORT
Race: St. Albert 10 Miler
Where: St. Albert, Alberta
When: April 25, 2004, 9:30AM
The nervous anticipation never seems to fade, no matter the distance or event. So as I laid awake at 1AM, what thoughts ran through my head? Oddly enough, it was the job that initially dominated my thoughts. I AM ON VACATION! Banish those thoughts immediately! Focus on the breath....

Done with work until May 9!
I got a race tomorrow--a 10 miler. The fast and fit will be under an hour. I will be happy with getting under 80 minutes.

So, my renter upstairs is moving out in May, and I am going part time at work.
I just booked an appointment to get my car serviced=$1200!
House insurance, car insurance, and property tax are all due in the next couple of months.

Junk mail is so...anti-climatic.
Mutual attraction is so...exhilarating.
Discovering she is attached is so...expected.
Dropped by the pool just before it closed. 750m = 18:05
Avatars of chaos act as spies, saboteurs, criminals of amour fou, neither selfless nor selfish, accessible as children, mannered as barbarians, chafed with obsessions, unemployed, sensually deranged, wolfangels, mirrors for contemplation, eyes like flowers, pirates of all signs & meanings.

I can (could do before I broke myself) do 750m in about 16min or better and that is breast stroke...
kick, kick, kick....(hey I'd poke you also, but I only got one good arm at the moment and I can't poke and type at the same time)...

I missed Hawskley Workman last night...did not realize he was coming to town until after the show was sold out. I cannot recall the last gig I have gone to.
I biked into work to do the grocery order. It has been snowing, so the roads are the shitz--damn salt. Actually, there is no traffic in...

My visible facade is invisibility, heh. Yeah, I'm tired of that too. Life would be a lot better if we could all just let each other see what's really there in the first place. But I think we're probably made the wrong way, or something.

So, night shifts should be done with until the fall. Happy, happy, joy, joy. I got home Monday morning to find my place cleaned. My mom stayed up until 2AM organizing and vacuuming. I should appreciate that more than I do, but I get possessive of my clutter.
I proceeded to sleep for eight hours, get up and try to watch some hockey, feel tired...

You still doing the St. Croix Half Ironman?...I still have that list of races you plan on doing that you sent me....and now it may haunt you....
I had planned on doing my first race in Apr also, but that race was full so the next one looked like something in May, but with the wreck....who knows....
I think it will be hard to get re-motivated to train again after I heal....
I'm kinda liking he lazy bum/ lush lifestyle...

Well, I finally did another run. It has been almost a week. I meant to do it Friday morning, but I started reading The Dosadi Experiment at 2AM. Did not get to bed until I finished the book around 9AM.
I start re-reading books when I am avoiding tasks.
Anyway, I ran to the gym this morning. My time was almost five minutes faster than...

Wow. I had not realized how lazy I have been this last month. Until I perused my workout journal. It has been over three weeks since my last entry.
I have an aversion to working out--I find little joy in heading to the gym or doing my core strength exercises and weights at home. I need a purpose to my physical activity. Bike to get...
