Need to start packing!
Just got off work at 2, and I have about seven hours to clean the abode and pack up the car. I was gonna head down to the grandparents tonight, but SHE asked if I wanted to go to the gym tonight. So I am taking off at 5AM.
blah, blah, blah...
So, a week from now I will either be shamed by how totally unprepared (yet again) I was for the race, or I will be wondering how much better I could have done with a little training. A lose, lose situation. My attitude sucks.
I have decided to try and get rid of my debt in two years. That means no more races outside of the immediate vicinity. Next year will consist of a couple of local half ironmans and marathons. I should park the car for the winter also. That would force me to be more active.
It is a paradox. When I had no vehicle, I was more likely to get out, but now that I am a prisoner to the auto, I hardly ever venture beyond my abode. That is partly due to moving out to the suburbs back in '99,
So, I need to sell the car, and move to a more urban friendly habitat.
I have the opportunity to manage a store again.
I have a firm number in mind for salary, so if they offer me that, then I will do it. Not sure how realistic the number is, as it is 20% higher than my salary when I was a manager four years ago.
Time to clean the dishes, and organize all my race gear in scattered piles.
Penticton, here I come!
