Holy fucking hannah! Am I glad I did not bike to work today.

While scrapping the sheet of ice off my car after the shift sucked, trying to bike would have been an unpleasant adventure.

So, I am gonna go have drinks with the boss tonight. Friday was his last shift. Not sure who else is gonna show up from work. I need to overindulge,...

I'm alternating between pain and numbness. It's a most unfortunate position.

I need to be at work in twelve minutes... I just wanna go back to bed!

6:34PM: I lift weights, but I don't sweat; I go for a swim, but I don't get wet.

When you run a race there are different times to talk about:

For me at this time this is how I see it:

Worst case - finish the race near 17hrs

What I tell other people I think I can do - sub 14:30:00

What I think I can do - 13:40:00 ish

The secret level I hope and partially think I can do - Sub 13:00:00 maybe 12:40:00 ish

I did some number crunching on your 11:37:15 and this is my no way in hell time. But you never know how training will go. wink

I hate living in the suburbs in the winter. Cause you gotta drive to most destinations, and vehicles are a complication (especially in cold weather). Why do I hate complications?

I think the cat is sick. She keeps sneezing (cat snot on you arm is gross!), and she was yowling this morning, then puked--mostly liquid.

Trying to decide if I should go swimming late tonight...

I don't know how I manage to underachieve my low expectations, but I do. It's unfortunate.

I got lucky cutting my mowhawk. I did it myself and wasn't sure how straight it would turn out. But I did a pretty good job. There was just one tiny place where I missed and my friend helped me fix that right away.

I found my quote for my upcoming training...It was off the 25 anniversary of the Ironman show on NBC, which I missed on TV, but ordered the DVD. It is from John Collins one of the founders of the Iron Distance.

I shall use this quote for the duration of my training when I need a boost...

Oh yea the quote:

You can quit,
But nobody else cares,
And you will always know!!

If you want you can use my quote too I'm not greedy.

fuck

Don't you hate it when you wanna get wasted, and there is only three beers in the fridge!

It is -33C with windchill outside. I should bundle up and go lay in a snowbank, hypothermia beckons.

once again...

fuck
beledi:
hehe...you should take some advil then drink. that'll do it everytime. it doesn't even have to be a lot.

it's -43C with the windchill outside here, so quiet down wink

I have never been a graceful lad, but these last few days I have been particulary clutzy. Too much sleep?

Once more, I have trimmed off all my hair...

------

12:33PM - People's attention to detail is sorely lacking (myself included). If I thought resolutions had any merit, that would be mine--BE MORE ATTENTIVE. To my cat (change the litter more than once a week), to my friends (call them more than once a month), to my parents...blah, blah, blah...

So after my day of...

I am off work until 5PM Wednesday...

Sunset Monday to sunset Tuesday is my annual ritual denial day. WTF is that? A time to reflect and decide.

I also have a "resolution run" on Wednesday. Only 5K...

later
pixilated101:
Only 5K...better sprint...no easy 20K pace. wink
beledi:
hehe. i'd be lucky if i could pull off 10 pushups. you'll die much later than me...

This is becoming tiresome...

Work that is.

Ended up working a 14 hour shift last night, and it looks like more of that for the next few nights...

I am so glad the last few hours of the shift were so quite, because after about 10 hours something happens to my synapses, and I make stupid mistakes when serving customers. I just phoned work, and...

Cool!

I got off work at 6AM this morning, and an hour after getting home I got the call asking me to come in at 5PM for a few hours. "Sure," I need the money--the more I work now, the more time I can take off in the summer, right?
Thing is, even though the cute new girl is working (or perhaps because of?!?), I...

I too am extremely pleased to have the night off. I'll be able to sit and relax for once. Much needed rest indeed.

I strongly suggest you go out and get yourself a nice steak. Sit back, have a beer, some meat and bake a potato maybe. A nice well rounded meal will make the night off even more pleasant.

pixilated101:
Yea the work-out piper...I missed 3 days in a row working out.

Somedays I do train smart...like today...I did not try to slip in that 6mile run I missed last night.

As far as your night off...I'm with FreakPirate a nice steak and some beers.
