Ok so here is the good news As of Jan 1 I am no longer in the army. It's hard to believe that 6 years have gone by so fast. I first joined because I thought that they could make me a better (or at least a stronger) man. But I soon found out that if you're not already complete going into something then it sure as hell wont make you complete. Don't get me wrong I have enjoyed some of it. I have made some good friends and have gotten to go places and do things I never could have imagined. But I also found out that I have a lot of short comings. The first being I don't take orders very well. I never really could before but then again I never really had that fact shoved in my face before either. I just could take orders from someone I thought inferior just because they had enlisted before I did. I have always said that there are certain things meant for all of us and then there are some that aren't. And well the army and I are not meant for each other. So I had to do what anyone in a bad relationship would do break up with her. So here it is army while I hope we can remain friends this just isn't working out. So both of us have to move on. To all my brothers and sisters still in the army that may read this. Stay strong and keep your head up (just not above the fox hole) and make your own experiences. I still believe as I did before I enlisted; this is a great country and I feel I have earned the right to feel proud for what I have done. Just because my army experience wasn't all that great doesn't mean yours has to be. To every girl that has a guy over seas stay strong and send letters. Because a smile (especially while being activated) is a very hard thing to come by.
