@missy @lyxzen @rambo I have mentioned before about my severe scoliosis and how I had to spend 6 months in a body cast when I was 7-8.
This is me in a body cast. Fun times.
Happy birthday to me. During these months, your muscles atrophy and your bones grow a bit more brittle. Afte my body cast was taken off, I had to learn to walk again. I had to build up all the required muscles, so I needed to walk around a lot. With frequent rests. During one of these rests, I sat upon a swivel stool. Closest picture that I can recall after 42 years.
I was spinning around on it, being a kid. I wrapped my leg around the leg of the chair, and promptly fell off.
I have always called it a break. I think technically it was a hairline fracture. In either case, it hurt like a bitch. I think I recall screaming a lot. But I got pretty fast attention. This was two weeks before I was supposed to be released to go home. I don't know how I did it, when I got home, but I was able to go up stairs easily using the crutches. I can't imagine it now.
So there you have it. I broke my leg while already in the hospital.
