Next time I go visit friends in Canada I'm taking this list, and we're going to do every single thing listed. #4 might be difficult.

@radiofrank one recipe was pretty simple. toasted bread broken up into pieces, placed in a bowl. Pour over it a cup of hot coffee with cream and sugar, sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over the top. Another referred it to Amish soup.
