I'm assuming you've read Patrick Rothfuss' books? If not that would be to of my recommendation list. Dan Simmons' Hyperion cantos is also really good, and I enjoyed the first couple of books in the Piers Anthony Incarnation of Immortality series. The quality drops off but each book is complete in and of itself so no need to keep going if your interest drops off. For historical fiction, I had a love hate relationship with Clan of the Cave Bear. Different from other things I've read and engaging, but not perfect. Fun though (and another where you can skip subsequent books in the series).

@ekka I tried Hyperion Cantos many years ago and couldn't get into it. I don't know why. I have some Pier's Anthony books. Good writer. I was kind of indifferent with the Clan of the Cave Bear series. It was good, but not sure if I want to read it again. I may have to check out Patrick Rothfuss.

@missy @rambo @lyxzen I was finally able to tear myself away from the xbox to do a homework. Kinda ironic that it's about video games, huh? My childhood was actually before most video games, to I'll start off with my favorite electronic games. Anyone remember Blip? I don't even remember how it plays, but it was fun.

@littlejohn22 It has pictures, but clean enough for facebook. And there's a cut in the back binding through the entire magazine. The paper even has a different feel to it.

Only played the first one, but it was the first game I played through twice, once completely good and once completely evil. Previous games hadn't kept my interest enough to do another full play-through.

One thing to look forward to every december, is the advent of Christmas cartoons. My absolute favorite is Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer!
Next would be the Charles Schultz classic, A Charlie Brown Christmas.
My third choice would be a lesser-known one, Twas the Night Before Christmas.
My next choice would be, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. A great one from Dr Seuss.

@kiley I've always been a huge Muppet fan. I have almost all the movies (I don't think I have The Muppets Take Manhatten or the newest one) and season one of the old Muppet Show. Plus The Dark Crystal. I loved Jim Henson's stuff!

I think Santa Claus Is Coming to Town is probably my favorite, but Rudolph is right behind. I had forgotten about the Year without Santa Claus and only vaguely remember it because of the miser brothers in the picture. I'm pretty sure I liked it.
