yea- this guy giving us one of those awful touristy tours of the french quarter told us that everyone who lives in New Orleans will one day come back...

I don't see myself living there ever, but I can see how it could call to a person. It's fun to visit- but I just couldn't live in a place like that. I felt so relieved when I got back to chicago. I think for me, chicago is the city that I'll always have to call home, no matter where I am living in the world at the time.

I also like "This is Chicago" just because I heard it alot when I first moved here and it would remind me that I now lived in this fair city.
indigoboy:
Doh!
Sorry I missed you.

Good ol' Frank.

...of course, if you wake up in the morning and you're still drunk, you might still feel pretty good!

Great quote.
It doesn't get any better than Mr. Waits.

*I've done a chicago member search and am leaving this message in everyone's journal who's from the area...

You're invited to join SGchicago- a seperate group discussion for SG members in your neck of the woods. Perhaps this will one day lead to some SG representation from the midwest to battle it out w/ the coasts. smile

If you're interested in joining, just click on the groups button up top and submit your name. Simple as that. wink
