my brain got the memo

My friend Xeni was talking about this binaural beats app that helped her relax. I've heard about the supposed usefulness of binaural beats, but I was skeptical, so I never paid uch attention to them.

Xeni is really smart, though, and I trust her judgement, so I risked $2.99 on this app, and gave it a go last night before I went to bed. I set it for "deep relaxation" and turned it on when I switched off my lights and lay down to go to sleep.

Now, maybe it's a placebo effect, but I slept for nearly 10 hours straight, and I woke up more refreshed, serene, and relaxed than I have in weeks. It's been so long since I had a morning that didn't feel shitty, I've forgotten how nice it is to just have a cup of coffee while I read the news before I start my day, instead of having a coffee and then another coffee and then another coffee before I can even think about putting two thoughts together.

Even when I am relaxed and well rested, it is highly advisable to let me have a few cups of coffee before interacting with me, for your own safety.. :) Glad to see you found something that might help you sleep better/longer.

That sounds amazing... Ten hours, I need some of that. I also downloaded this app for $0.99 called sleep cycle, it monitors your sleep at night and wakes you up during your lightest sleep stage.
