So this is a thing that is happening:

Drew Curtis (my friend and founder of Fark.com), Greg Koch (my friend and co-founder of Stone Brewing Company) and I are collaborating on a limited-release beer that will come out just around Comicon in July.

It's an Imperial Stout, made with pecans, some wheat malt, a ton of rye, and aged in bourbon barrels. It's going to be called Farking Wheaton Imperial W00tstout.

Here's the label:

I brewed at Stone yesterday, and I have to tell you that, as a homebrewer, getting to work in a professional brewhouse was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I also brought some of my homebrew to share with people at Stone (and to get feedback from pros), and they all quite honestly loved the beers I brought them. I even got to put some of my Tripel into their lab for chemical analysis, to find out specifics on the ABV and SRM. My notes calculated the ABV to 7.8%, and the lab showed that it was 8.0, so I wasn't as far off my TG as I thought it was, which is awesome and makes me feel pretty proud of myself.

Translation for those of you who aren't brewers: I made good beer that people liked, and I made it pretty close to exactly how I wanted it to turn out. Also: SCIENCE!

Your beer sounds awesome! Also, where can one obtain this new brew that shall be released? I pretty much have to try it with all that in the name!
