Well, I'm still sick, and it's really kicking my ass. I heard from a friend of my wife that she had the same thing, and when the really bad cough and fever hits, you've got three days left.

So I should be over this stupid motherfucker by Monday.

In other news: holy shit is Freakanomics a cool book. On any other subject, I'd be annoyed at how rapidly it moves around from subject to subject, but in this case it really works. The whole point of the book is to show how things which you'd never think are connected actually are. If you liked Blink or The Tipping Point, you'll love this.

In other other news, WWdN:iX readers came together and donated over $800 to the Susan G. Komen foundation, when they retroactively sponsored me in last Sunday's Race for the Cure. w00t!

If you like my articles on the newswire, or you're a reader or contributor to the newswire, you should read this thread, and throw in your pocket of change.

This is probably it for me this week. I need to settle into the couch with some Netflix and a gallon of hot tea.

Hope you are feeling better. That nasty cold has been staying around for weeks here.

I ordered Freakonomics and can't wait to get it. I've heard great things though.

Be aware that the connection between abortion and crime is in doubt.

Here's the WSJ article.

WSJ Article

There have generally been a bunch of papers back and forth. Just don't think of that question as settled, yet.
