Pandora.com is an incredible music site that helps you discover new music. You tell it the title of a song or name of an artist, and it will create a station for you, starting from your selection. Pandora then plays a song from a different artist that it thinks you'll like. You rate that song, to help it figure out what you like and don't like, and after a fifteen minutes or so, you'll be listening to artists you may have not heard before. (I started with Soul coughing, and discovered a band called Gerling, and heard an old TMBG song I'd somehow managed to never hear over the years.) If you find something you must have, there are links o purchase the album straight to Amazon or iTunes. The Long Tail Blog says,
[T]hey determine similarity not by what other people listen to but what their small army of musicologists identify as related traits in the music itself. You'll get delightful stuff you never would have thought of.
Pandora gives you ten hours of free listening to try it out.If pandora can keep the music industry's pay-for-play agenda out of the way, it could be an amazing service.

Wish I had speakers and a working sound card.. ah, well. Soon enough
As an aside, why is the "Add me as a friend" link missing form you? I was all excited, saying "Hey! I failed to find Wil's address to invite him to my wedding, maybe he'll be my friend anyway, and my cool points will increase tenfold!" Meh, it sounded cooler in my head
