in other news, today i have lunch with some kind of ceo. it's no problem; these people better offer something ridiculous or i'm going to stick with what i've got. they must be desparate to hire new people.

is getting a job like a singularity? i expect about 45 phone calls today. yesterday, my phone rang every 20 minutes.
i think it's the same phenomena that happens when you finally start dating a girl and suddenly meet all these cooler girls. yeah, jobs are like that. you're not really considered if no-one will hire you, but as soon as someone does, other companies scramble to try and compete over some resource that they now see is scarce.
hell, had i known that, i would have told everyone i had a solid job offer with another company, and got miles to front for it.
i suppose some things are learned through experience.
