I saw 'Pollock' today and really didn't like it. Why make a movie about this peace of shit painter? Why not make a movie about the young girl he killed. Surely she had dreams and aspirations before she died by his drunken hand.
I did think the alcohol / domestic violence scenes were probably the most life like that I have ever seen on video....

Your the only other person on this planet that I know of who has seen "Razor's Edge", what about "the River's Edge" with Keanu and Dennis Hopper. That was a classic too.
OK. I wasnt going to add this because it is self glorifying, sanctimonious and in poor taste. But lets admit it I am self glorifying, sanctimonious and there is precious little around here in good taste.

Thank you for the mysterious letter. The timing and circumstance was providential.
I hope you are well, enjoying the warmth of the colorado sun.
I find myself increasingly overwhelmed by the inevitability by which man will crush all that is innocent and eventually himself, because of his blindness and blunted intellect.

I have started getting really pissed at people who tell me that it is wrong to nourish my child with a veggie diet. I am now telling them that they are basically abusing their children by giving them a diet of meat. I make a mean face like this

Woah woah woah... why are you getting deported? I'm very proud that you were able to make yourself so important that the fed would actually care. Or did you just refuse to pay taxes?
Regarding the quotes below: I can happily report such a level of cynicism that at the ripe old age of 24, I've known both those points of veiw for a long time. Although, being only 24, I've never felt qualified to say that things have been getting worse, per se.
Politicians, shareholders, timber poachers, they're just people. They were born in this culture, shaped by this culture, and they thrive in this culture. It's just as much my fault for craving Taco Bell when I'm drunk, or for never quite getting around to plastering the rural communities around here with posters like I keep meaning to, or for shopping at Target "just one more time, I'll never let myself get this low on cash again."
Hey you know, I like Frank Black's stuff a lot better since he's gotten the catholics with him. I feel like he's put a little bit of raw back in his sound. Not that "whatever happened to pong" isn't the best song the pixies never recorded!

Hey, wait, the journal entries _are_ archived, I thought. There are 3 small white buttons at the bottom of your entry. The third one shows all your posts, no?
And you know that any time you make a choice to live outside the norm, whether it's veganism, or being queer, or whatever, it's _always_ seen by others still in the mainstream as a judgement on them personally. So, you're very existence is taken as an attack on them, and they will attack back. Which sucks if you're just trying to live your life and make the choices that are best for you, because it feels like everyone's always attacking you all the time.
Sound familiar?

I'm training now because I start racing again the first weekend of March. I had 3 weeks off, then started training a couple of weeks ago. I basically have 2 months to train before the first race of the season. So, I only take a couple week off a year, and only January and February w/o racing. Last season, I actually started racing in Mexico in the first week of February, but I needed a longer break this year.
And everyone already knows I'm crazy, so I don't have to fuck with anyone in the races anymore. They make room for me.

I move with glacial inevitability. I may take one step back for every two forward. But my conquest is certain and predetermined.

Yeah, you know I've been in Boulder so long that I've forgotten about how this is where supermodels come from. It was a jaw-dropping situation when I first moved here, but I guess I've gotten used to it! And many of them are actually cool people, too. Hippies and punks.
