I was listening to the radio today and they had some indigenous people from Korea singing with out accompaniment. Normally I hate 'acapella' music outright. I am very discerning about music. I figure it is something you do entirely for fun so why not be irrational and brutally judgmental. I'll listen to "lucky love" by ace of base and then my life with the thrill kill kult, or what ever, and then hate trendy music.

Any way, this music was just ok. But then they plaid a recording of his wife joining him singing an accompaniment. Not only was it beautiful to hear his strong melody line being brilliantly accented by her sweet high pitch chirping voice. There was something about the idea of this elderly couple who had probably been married for 60 years singing together. Their voice joining, accompanying each other in beauty until the force that brings us together pulls us away.

They both died within 2 weeks of each other.
