I'm enjoying the peace out here in the boonies.

Gots to get back to work though. Back to the big friggin apple. I just can't decide whether or not to bring Libby back. It is a bitch to have a car in the city...I know that. But ya gotta love those impulsive road trips!

Had a crazy day yesterday. However, I did have the pleasure of having some lads and a lass visit me at work!!!!

Freyja, Luna, and Jason came to my bar last night. It was somewhat of a crazy night. More so than I expected in terms of patrons...so I didn't get to spend as much time chatting with them as I would have...

i tried that email thing but it kept backfiring on me - considering the fact that i woke up still drunk as a fucking skunk and went on out to face the day. . .well let's just say it's pretty amazing that i got the computer on to begin with. anyway you should read kilal gibran if you enjoy rumi. not nearly as lyrical but still on the mark.

where do ya bartend?

I'm soooooo tired of late. I don't know quite what it is. Perhaps it's the alcohol. No actually I've been drinking much much less. Barely at all...just this past weekend was a little nutso and I guess it just pushed me over the edge.

I saw Dawn of the Dead...it was fucking GREAT. And I also saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind...is that what...

Saw Recidivist's band tonight. They rocked it out. Then I walked downstairs at the bar and watched naked ladies writhing in thongs and heels. Always an adventure. Of course I was wearing an outfit that perhaps suggested to some that I was headed to work. Ya gotta love that. wink I like dressing like a hooker.

I'm sure that I've just welcomed some ridicule of...

I've been stressing about bills lately and a roommate that should be paying me more. But when I get in my beetle and drive around ...all my troubles seem to float away. ahh..what an afternoon. Nothing like driving through the mountains and countryside out here in Pennsyltucky. I haven't driven my beetle in a few months...it ran like a gem!

It's time for a bikini...

What a pleasure it is to know that I'm free to shave my armpits whenever I like...not that I do very often. And to think that there was a time when I wasn't allowed to tame that shit. Fascinating.

Central Florida- a city called MELBOURNE along the coast by Cocoa Beach, and also like 70 min. from Orlando, which is where I first heard DJ Icey (but back in those days- umm... like '93 or '94, he went by 'DJ Icee' before he got sued for using it spelled like that and had to change it) spin at a club that's not around anymore called The Edge, where he was resident DJ, with his breakbeat style. He's got another full length CD/LP coming out soon, too. Also people like Kimball Collins and Cris Fortier hit around that time in Orlando, as well. I actually used to live in Satellite Beach right on the ocean (which is where I'm likely going to shoot my first feature film- at least my first as Writer-Director-Producer and not just Co-Producer), like 10 or 15 minutes from where I'm at now, which is right next to Cocoa Beach, back when I was still at home before I went off to NYU for school. I was back and forth for a long time after school but now my only permanent place is in Florida, though I'm usually back pretty often. It should be once a month through June if I'm going to make all the appoinments (as well as concerts and stuff) I've got lined up, but half the time I'm up there when I need to be here, or vice versa. Whatevs. So that's the really realy long answer to a short question. smile

enjoyed what? hmmm. well, ehhhh, yer welcome?

anyway, while i've got your attention: i'm still standing here on the runway with my flight jacket and mirror glasses, waiting for that vw to come whisk me away.

Damn. It's been an interesting week. That's foh sure. I went to hear a friend play tonight in the village. Seven drinks later I ended up onstage singing....and then heading to two more bars....and then of course stumbling home on the subway. Thank god the friggin subway was in my favor tonight. That shit went express. LOVE THAT.

Been bartending a lot. It's quite an...

whatchoo wanna know about vw's sugar?
gallas13:
whoops. realized yer talkin' about the vw co-pilot thing. should've figured that out faster, but i'm still a little cloudy-headed. anyhoo, here's the skinny: family has owned a tan '60-something bug since before i was born, named her "chocolate." at age 10 my grandpa says to me, "you're as smart as anybody else around here. you oughta be able to drive." so we take chocolate down to the farm, he sticks me behind the wheel, and off we go. before long i'm driving chocolate around town like i own the place. the cops didn't seem to care. at age 12 i did manage to nail a pecan tree. . .but not to worry, driver and vw were both fine. later on i learned tricks like coasting and drafting. could also do most simple engine tinkering (although i've lost it all with time and would have to re-teach myself. but you can fix anything on the old vw's if you got the owner's manual, a wrench, and some wd40). nowadays unfortunately i'm in nyc and chocolate is back with my grandparents. but i take any chance i can to drive or even just ride around in vw's. but only old ones. i personally think all the new vw's are crap. and *my dream*: to cross country in a vw, bug or microbus. done it before in other vehicles, but never a vw. it'll happen one day.

and so that's the co-pilot bidness. not a great story, but i'm stickin' to it. . .

I want to sit in the park and fly a kite. That's all.

Don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys.

There is one song that I keep hearing at work that just baffles me. "Drop Kick Me Jesus Through the Goalpost of Life"....

Whoa. surreal
