Story of the day.........

Well - after almost 2 weeks with little to no sleep, I was finally diagnosed with insomnia today (DUH!!!)

One thing that made me perk up a little at work today was the fact that my new combat boots arrived!!!!! I hate the fact that all of my kit has to be special ordered here It was a nice suprise though cause they told me that they weren't going to be in until August so.....

Tomorrow brings an interesting day at work because the base is performing a 4 bell exercise. This is a crash simulated drill complete with casualty simulations and all I am a bit hesitant of this exercise though because 2 weeks after the last one, we had a 1 bell emergency (mid air collision, crash, etc) resulting in the injury of one pilot and the death of another. It isn't the exercise that bothers me, but the aftermath of events to come. One of the guys I work with was saying today about how nice it was to be quiet at the hospital with very few patients to see. All I said to him was "careful what you say because I have a feeling that this is the calm before the storm" I know I shouldn't think like that, but I would rather be on alert rather than be suprised like the last time In any event, I hope to get some pictures of the exercise tomorrow if permited by the authorities

I must go now and take the happy pills that the nice Doctor man gave me and drift off into dreamland. What am I gonna dream about you ask???
