Exciting!! You get to go to a dance competition. When was the last time you got to do that? Been a while, hasn't it? Well, no matter. You will be fabulous and amazing, I am absolutely certain of that.

I pretty much slept mine away too, in between extremely violent and sad dreams. Karen's left for DC now, so I'm in that sort of limbo time before I figure out what exactly I'm going to be doing today. I took the birds out onto the deck and sat with them for a few hours. They were pretty happy about it, until the woodpecker landed onto the tree next to the deck and freaked them out. Poor Arthur just flew directly into the wall (she doesn't fly worth spit) but Merlin circled around inside the screen about 5 times until he finally got the angle right to land on me, huffing and puffing, his topknot standing way up in alarm. A little fear really wears them out, so I think I'll have a peaceful evening with them.

I put in for a job and heard back the next day from them, wanting to know a bit more about me. It seems like a decent job with a good mission and good people, so I'm hoping it will pan out. Even though I'd take abuot a 40% pay cut, it would be well worth it to me if the people are as nice as they sound so far. **shrug** we'll see in a few weeks when he wraps up the resume gathering phase.

Just imagine a bird completely soaked so that they are skinny and a tad stringy. That's the image. Neither of these two really understand the bird bath concept. It's more like a wading pool to them, so their feet get wet, but not so much the rest of them.

Oh, in case you're wondering, wet bird does have a very distinctive odor.

Yeah, I think the job would be good. I'll be letting the whole world know if I get it.
