My art professor wants me to take this semester in studying lighting and shading, so this one I did in graphite. I called it "Gentle Soul" cause when I came up with this, I was outside having a smoke break when I saw some other college kids pulling up the grass and carving into the trees while waiting on their rides, or possibly killing time. I thought about what the plants would do or think if they had a chance to show it. So I created this 'spirit' who is basically done and tired of being the 'giving tree' and is holding whats left of his kind, dear to him, away from those who destroy it. The concept is "Sharing is caring but the plants don't owe you shit."
