Things seem to be going from bad to worse. I got a call from the company who's boat lifts I sell, the gist of which was that one of the marinas we work at called with some serious complaints and expressed that they were considering not allowing us to put lifts in any longer. I've had a 20 year relationship with this marina, the current...

Not feeling very good. I've got a mild flu, I've got $25,000 in receivables out and all I'm receiving are excuses. So now I'm past due paying my own bills
. Two are guys who assured me they'd pay on the spot as soon as the jobs were finished if I could kindly forgo my normal 1/2 down deposit. Both jobs have been complete for...

Damn, dude. If I were nearby, and you drank, I'd buy you a beer. And give you a Marlboro. And we could bitch about the cold, and bemoan the sad state of our knees...
Hang in there, buddy! Spring is coming!

Its funny ( in a not so funny way) how shitty folks have become over money in the last 5 -6 years. I'm a contractor, so OF COURSE I'm lining my pockets and making big fat boat payments with all the dough these pikers don't pay me anyway. Really gets me down sometimes. Then I remember how great my son and his half sister are and the world is immediately so much finer. I seriously don't know how postal I might have gone I don't know how many times if not for them.
Sounds like you guys run a great operation and you are experiencing the results of my dear departed Dads' favorite line, "No good deed goes unpunished". Keep the faith. Folks won't get any nicer but it won't matter when your'e busy as hell and crying all the way to the bank. Whenever you actually get paid, that is.

This weekend was gorgeous here, and I'm sick. Flu I guess, oh well.
Once when I was 14 and visiting relatives in Detroit I talked my Uncle (2nd cousin actually, but I just call him uncle) into taking me to a few record stores in Ann Arbor. -He was a professor at the University there & also was doing a weekly do-wop & soul radio...

Haha, yeah, I used a scroll saw and a bunch of different files, orbital sander and nylon rotary brush on the drill press.
Yes, it took forever.
Yes, I went through like half a dozen blades.
No, it's not quite as pretty and nice as I'd like to to be.
Well, I was feeling better, and because of this I worked in the shop too long last night and now I'm hurtin' for certain. Bleh.

After I did this, I rewired a silverface Fender Champ amp to be more like a tweed Champ. Here's the before, I didn't get an after yet...

Pssssst. I want to tell you about a perversion of mine. Got your attention?
It's a weird kink for really good music by really bad bands. Mostly this involves bands that had been bar bands making good rock and roll music and even recording some records until they got swept up by the golden age of FM radio did a ton of coke, bought a...

My thoughts exactly. Had Ted thrown his support behind Hillary, I'm sure Jesse Jackson, or somebody like him, would have accused him of racism. This is why I hope identity politics dies a quick death, and in a hurry. But I can still enjoy the fallout from the sidelines.

Hey, I have a internet question and I'm not sure where to ask it. Despite looking at boobs all day, I'm not actually that computer savvy. I need to make my business a website, and I'm totally in the dark. You know of any online resources that might point me to what I need? It doesn't need to be real complex, no online sales or...

Nice to be back!
My legs are flat killing me, the knees mostly. My last three jogs I did on pavement instead of dirt, and a bit longer also. Not sure if that's the issue or just not taking a break. I figured that alternating biking would help the soreness that I knew would be coming, but not really. I'm going to stick to the bike only until my...

rode my ass off today! (the pedal bike) how many miles I don't know, almost 3 hours total, stopping for a break only a few times on the steepest uphill parts. It's easier to push myself longer on the bike than jogging, it's more fun and every uphill pays off with a downhill. But at the same time it's tough to really get the hearbeat...

About a week ago I wanted to weigh Norvin, so after dinner at the folks' one night I picked him up and got on the scale. Holy shiit that dog is growing! Then of course I weighed myself so I could see exactly how much Norvin has gained, and you can guess the rest. I've been hating the belly for a while, so it's not...

DUDE!! your running, don't tell your sponsor or he may try to drag you to one of his 100 milers or something!! Hey, We aren't exactly spring chickens so be cautious of not overdoing it at first. It is a good idea to have rest days so your body has time to heal between runs it helps prevent overuse injuries. I have some trail shoes that I haven't really used yet and if I'm planning to be in BC I'll call you and have you take me on your trails. Good job!!

What A dickhead. I'm sorry to hear that you have to deal with someone like that.
You could always take up skydiving...nothing like jumpping out of a prefectly good airplane to clear your mind.
Saw that stinky piece of shit chopper. NASCAR, rednecks, non-functional motorcycles... a short list of things I hate.
