Did you go?
I had to work last night, but I got off at midnight, ... if I had seen this earlier, and I had a better way way off getting in touch with you, I would have gone out, as I had to "burn the midnight oil", ... so I can sleep all day today, for an all-nighter tonight. skull

Steelers/Browns games are always fun to watch. It's good to have rivals. Those three seasons the Browns didn't exist really sucked.

I'm declaring a war on my torso. The first battle was close, but I ended up victorious. I brought the mountain bike back from Colorado on the last trip since I was missing it terribly. So being out of shape and over enthusiastic I decided to take a trail I hadn't before. The particular trail is a part of the Bootleg Canyon trails that I...

No, they didn't put stockula on ignore by default. You clicked on this link in the Alaska thread. If you look at the link location, you can see what it is.
redbstrd:
Yeah, they are. I lived in Las Vegas from about 2000 until 2005. I had a class with the bassist at UNLV.

Fuck, I just broke a tooth. this should be a fun weekend.

5 hours and the tooth hasn't started singing yet, maybe it'll be ok until Monday. Dragstrip tonight! Nothing new with the mustang to address it's traction issues so I'm taking the R1. yippie!

since this entry lacks anything entertaining here's Graham Reynolds aka The Golden Arm Trio doing a Star Wars Medley, i...

I'm off to Colorado for a week, it's my niece's 2nd birthday. My cousin who usually takes Norvin to his place for me is out of town, so I switched my flights to Thanksgiving & I'm taking the pickup & the dog. I'm very happy about that, I hate to be away from Norvin. Plus I'm bringing back my mountain bike which I miss most...

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
I feel a disaster on the horizon, I get that sometimes. I'm not sure what I'm doing with my life, I feel pretty lonely but don't want much to do with society anyhow. At least not society as a whole. I like people, I really do....

It only shows up the once.

I've been close to feeling like you are with work before. I am assuming you work for yourself and have guys working for you doing the grunt work while you keep the business end of it working and deal with the customers? I was in that spot, well I worked for somebody else but you get the picture, up until the upheaval at work and I was getting stir crazy and did not even realize it until everything was turned on it's ear and now I am back to turning wrenches most of the day. Surprisingly enough it really livened up my attitude, I feel much better about work now and much happier in general; the the point that when we get up and runnign agian I think I am going to hire a person to do my parts ordering, invoicing and office work before I bring on my first extra mechanic so I get to STAY in the field; it's a much more fulfilling job for me, I'm a little like you seem to to be in that I like to see a product at the end of the day and know I did something.

Both custom and production work are hard to get started in, you have to build a name first. I tried to do it once, and may do it again, but it was rough going and I ended up not being able to make the grade, I did learn a ton though.

Take the welding class, sell the business, take the road trip, move to Colorado, get the hippy girlfriend and buy into Maniacles' motorcycle building business... or compete with him!

I watched a really fun 40 minute video this morning called Downhill Motion. It was shot in the mid seventies and is a little mini documentary on skateboarding in so cal. As the title suggests it's mostly downhill footage, but also some stuff just on the first edge of pool skating. Skinny boards in the pools and no four wheels above the rim or anything,...

lol, no i'm accually in so cal. yeah i've tried several different tires. the best traction i've had are from remington's. no joke. i spent a ton of money on goodyear eagle's and burnt'em up in 3 month's. the remingtons were a third of the price. it was a daily driver also, the only reason i stopped is i drive two hours a day for work and needed something reliable. i accually built it for drag and track. i installed gt suspension as well as front and rear sway bar's. that's why the front sit's a little high. the gt front springs are stiffer. it ride's a little rougher than stock but it corner's way way better than stock. in the future i'm redoing the out side again to do kind of a gone in 60 sec. version but a coupe. let me know if you have any more questions. good luck!

my cousin sent me a few pics from the dragstrip, so here ya go! I can't believe how good a quick wash and a camera flash makes the paint & body look. It looks like a showcar! In reality it's faded with cracks and rust in spots and the panels line up poorly (and I dig it). You see the brown spot on the hood?...

Oh man, there is not even space here to start.

Long story short owners getting divorced. The wife, who on paper, owns the company is being a horribly evil person. Trying to steal all my tools, fucking up stuff with customers, selling off stuff and trying to make it look like thefts, all sorts of ugly shit.
notoriousdug:
Yeah, it's no fun. The consolation is that my customers are just that, my customers and no matter how bad she destroys the business they will follow me. A new company has been started just these things take time.

Took the mustang to the drag strip for the first time last night. The night was a bummer - the turnout was packed, people kept losing their parts and fluids up and down the track, so delays constantly. The organizers kept using up the time with "special presentation" stuff, like a wheelstanding stagecoach and a competition between the fastest guys from the last three midnight...

Still a respectable time, with so much really fast stuff out there people forget that a solid low 14 second car that you can street drive with no issues is FAST; especially with old school cars.

Get some tires and you will be amazed at what happens to the overall ET when the 60 foot time drops, yours are killing you. With a car that small and a high wound motor, which it sounds like you have, a 1.60/1.70 60 foot should be possible with the right gearing and it is going to drop the overall ET more then you would think.

Skip the drag radials and get a set of ET streets for the track or, if you can have track tires, ET drags.

Lol no I'm good, it was a metaphor. The only kind of intoxications I've had in over 3 years has been on emotions.

How you doing?
