Some weekend I had! Link Wray was fucking phenomenal. He's got to be mid 70's, pushing 80 maybe? Needed a bit of help getting up & down the few stairs onto the stage, but put a guitar in his hands & it's another story, I was totally blown away. There's no way anyone could call it going through the motions. The fire is very real, he had to be exhausted.
Better than that, I took a girl to the show I've known for 12 years or so. When we first met I was rather fond of her and aware (or at least imagined correctly) that she had a bit of a crush going on. She's beautiful, extremely level-headed and easy going, very smart... Way back then our age differences would have made any advances on my part irresponsible, so just friends we stayed. She moved away, got engaged but they never married, dated the brother of my sister's now husband, introduced my best friend to his now wife, etc... We never really communicated but we met up with other friends when she was back in town for a visit now & then. So anyhow, good things took place, I'm a little giddy, a lot tired, and a little apprehensive too. But less apprehensive than while I was mulling over whether or not to make my feelings known thankfully. Mostly I'm excited and optomistic
. Oh, and I bought her a copy of The Bunny Suicides because "little furry rabbits who just don't want to live any longer" are very romantic of course.

That's fatal attraction he's putting in the VCR in case your eyes are as bad as mine. Her & I watched the excorsist III together last night, which is slightly more romantic than fatal attraction I think.
