Hooray! The Norton has decided to grace me with another period of running well. I did a quick carburator cleaning this morning & it loves me again. I saw this saying somewhere: British bikes are like Italian women. Sometimes they stab you for no reason. I had no idea Italian women would do that, I'll keep that in mind. I also took apart the throttle grip mechanism & cleaned out all the old sticky grease. It almost returns to idle on it's own now. The next order of business is to take the forks apart, make sure the seals are alright & fill them with oil. I'm sure they're empty because it's all bounce, no dampening. The seals are supposed to be super-tough & never wear out, so I'm hoping it'll be a one day job on Saturday, then take it on a ride out to Nelson on Sunday.

I also head that if a British biked isn't dripping oil, it's out of oil.
