I'm finally making some headway tuning the triumph's carbs since port matching the intake manifolds. These FCR carbs are something I haven't really dealt with before, plus I couldn't get any needles for them here in town. I ordered three different pairs from sudco and got them yesterday. Full and mid throttle are swell now, just gotta get some smaller slow fuel jets for lower...

This is fun, I stole the idea, but it's still fun. Google "(your name) needs" and see what it is that you need. Here's what I need:

Erik needs an heir in order to receive aid in regaining his title, lands and
children, stolen from him by his treacherous brother Nicholas. ...

i suppose Raoul adn Christine belong together but Eric needs a girl i...

Mattie needs a lot of equipment to fish. Mattie needs your help! Mattie needs the healing power of prayer. What Mattie needs most is company. Mattie needs about forty dollars to get the pin. Mattie needs his challenge, dependence, and love. Mattie needs someone with the time to train her, but shes already learning no and sit. Mattie needs you! Mattie needs help keeping the various tractors, balers and sprinklers in working order, so she advertises for a "hired man." Mattie needs to pick up her kids. Mattie needs a nice butt-kicking every once

Whoa. I hit the fucking jackpot with the following link. Sure wish I'd thought of this myself because I'd be a genius and chicks would dig me. Here's the deal: EFI engines use sensors in the exhaust to tell the injectors to adjust the amount of fuel so that the mixture is correct, right? (the answer is yes). Why can't one of those same sensors...

What a fantastic innovation -nice work dude! wink That bike of your's looks way better than the factory Thruxton too.

I have to say though that I'm glad my days of carb tinkering are over - fuel injection's the devil's work but i'm a convert. wink

Here's a couple pics of the thruxton with the latest work. '97 CBR600F3 fork uppers & internals in the stock triumph lowers. ZRX1200 shocks. A while back I got a stock bonneville seat & had it recovered to mimic the old ones a bit. I'm using the original thruxton seat pan to make a new solo seat with some storage inside instead of the seat...

Yeah, it's the m/c that came with these calipers, both from a 1983 GPz with the antidive. I pulled the antidive stuff off, so it's straightforward: m/c to splitter to two hoses to the calipers. I tried using my stock LTD m/c, then the GPz m/c and got the exact same results...

Wow, I forgot how much work polishing aluminium is. Last weekend I didn't get to much polishing, thusly no pictures of Erik in blackface just yet. Been doing a little after work each day, so I haven't had the chance to get completely covered in soot. Tonight I'll go for a spin on the Kawi, I haven't even been on a bike for two weeks,...

I got a good start on the triumph's fork conversion yesterday. I'd never pulled a set of forks apart before, so I wasn't real sure what I'd be in for. The triumph's stock internals are surprisingly simple, a "damper-rod" situation. The CBR internals are of the cartridge type, a little different but still pretty straight-forward. Today at some point I'll be covered in black soot...

A good time was had by all at SG Vegas bowling night. I'll definately come out to future get-togethers. I'm sipping coffee & trying to decide whether to pop the cams back into the triumph or since I'm partially there pull the head & have a go at a minor port job. When I fitted the new carbs I looked down the intake ports, they're...

I love Zia records! I got four great video documentaries ten bucks each used. One on the Ramones, One on Motown, one on Marc Bolan. One of Kool Keith interviews, the best answer to a question I don't remember: "Well, I'm like the Al Sharpton of rap, you know."

Thank you for the words of enouragement, I'm very motivated to do it though. It's engrained in my routines (hence the recently removed portion of my vices...) but time and effort = change.

I took my gallon jug of change to the coinstar machine, $427.00, of which I paid about $40 for the service. Last time I sorted out the quartes & took those to a casino. Probably would've saved me $30 this time, but cost me an hour of sorting. I'm off on the Kawi to find a backpack that will hold records, then I'm going record...

The trip home from Colorado last Sunday started at 5am in the rain & temps in the low 50's. Denver traffic wasn't too bad at 6:00-6:30. A huge rockslide closed off Westbound I-70 at Idaho springs, so I got the scenic detour through the little mining town's main street. Much of the street was torn up for construction, and traffic was stop and go ten...
