Kraftwerk: Or, Robots can be funky too.
Through the wonders of YouTube, I have been able to acquire the first three albums in Kraftwerk's discography. These have never been officially re-issued on CD and are nearly impossible to find on vinyl. Anyone who is into hiphop, techno, new wave, and many other genres should check out Kraftwerk. Their electronic textures and hypnotic rhythms are vital foundations of so much music from the late 70s onward.
Their first three albums see them, however, in a much more experimental mode. They transition from using traditional instruments and tape manipulation to entirely electronic music. Exciting stuff!
