I am honestly confused; this girl is confusing the hell out of me. We spend a shit load of time on the phone, we email each other every day, hell even today she was putting our names and birthdates into some love compatibility test. I don't know, but it doesn't seem to me like you'd do any of this if you were only interested in being friends.

sure she has a boyfriend, but the other night she flat out told me that I was doing a good job at convincing her that she'd be better with me and then today she tells me that she has no desire to go past being friends. I don't know what to think anymore. And I really dont think she knows what she wants either.

I told her that I didn't think he treated her right and she responded by giving me examples of how he bought her gifts, flowers and the like, sometimes for special occasions like Valentines day and sometimes just because. So I responded by telling her that relationships are much more then just gestures and gifts, they're important yes but the most important part is listening and communicating, something he seem to be failing at in my opinion.

The thing that really gets me is her response

"we do talk sometimes"

Sometimes, I'm sorry it shouldn't be a sometimes, if you're only talking sometimes, the relationship is doomed to fail and I don't think she even realizes that.

And I'm not even telling her this stuff just because I like her and would rather he date me (sure it's the main reason yes) but I've been in a similar relationship and I know how it turned out, and I don't want her to feel that way, but I guess she'll just have to find out for herself.
