Mine was a Valentine's Day gift, but I think it was one of those things where.. he bought it for me with intentions for himself. It's way more along his lines than mine, being that he was a bassist and needed a guitar he could screw around on [though, yes, I wish I could play it -- he played it every time he came over and never took the time to teach me].
Oh well. Maybe now I'll sell it.

I've always liked hardcover better. They look better sitting on a shelf. My new goal has been to get every book I read in hardcover and throw the dumb paper sleeves away so that I can have a whole bookshelf that looks like it's full of "important" books when in fact they are all far from that. It'll be beautiful.

No, no. I wouldn't throw books away. Most hardcovers comes with a paper sleeve for protection. Usually the sleeve is colorful and whatnot while the actual book is plain.

We lost Tim Buckley too soon, his son too 
I'm DYING to see that movie. I read the book not too long ago and it quickly became one of my favorites. The first chapter is pretty tough to get through, but thats only because of the perfectly detailed account of Suzie's rape and murder. You should definitely give it a look though

Yeah.. I actually feel like a jerk, because I accidentally recommended it to my ex .. who lives a bit like the main character, it seems. But I didn't mean for the implication to be so .. I don't know. Obvious. So then I thought of seeing it with him, but -that- wouldn't be any good, either. Iiiiiiiiii don't know. Might be a rental for lack of other options.
