Happenings: Finally saw Whale Rider...wow! I feel like a shlub for having not caught it in the theaters. I raided my library again for CD's to feed my 200 gig hard drive. Today's choices were: The Rough Guides to the Music of North Africa, Appalachians, & Scottish Folk (each a different CD) & Bartok's Complete String Quartets #1-6. I've been trying to track down the particular piece of Bartok's that opens The Shining...it's guesswork since it's not listed in the movie...strange. I'm hoping to raid the New Haven Pub. Library tomorrow, if I wake early enough, that is...

Thanks for the word on Mark Ryden. I can't believe that I hadn't seen his work until yesterday. Cute and dark - two of my favorite flavors. (Kinda like Rose. I can't wait until I get back to my home computer, so I can look at the new Rose set. Squeal!)
I am a bit of a world music geek myself. Nice variety you have there. I especially dig gamelan and bollywood soundtracks. *geek, geek, geek*
