That’s a good question. I know I usually tip my hair or makeup artist but I’ve never booked one in conjunction with a shoot. @libris ?

Thanks @chef. If it makes a difference, we’ve been asked to pay the stylist directly, in cash, and these are not discounted rates. Since the photographer is the business owner, I don’t think tipping him is typical.
