Is there some sort of contest for Indie bands to come up with the absolute fucking stupidest, hip-ironic, pseudo-Dada band names possible? If so, they all win.

Yeah yeah yeah...

yeah, dude. every hipster i know is knitting. only i have an evil plan to sell the stuff at my friend's fancy boutique to rich ladies for mad skrilla. i'm jealous you get to go to the republica dominicana, when i can't even get out of pgh to go to nyc to get my driver's license renewed.

I was going to post a request for peopl to tell me some music I should get. Then I realized what horrible musical tastes so many people have, and that I have neither the time nor inclination to sift through piles of whiny cracker music, hipster noodle garbage, and pathetic dj/mc dregs, etc. looking for the one or two gems that may or may not...

Early returns on CNN are actually a bit promising. Keep your fingers crossed.
edit: as of 11:18 p.m. CNN projects a Democratic House, and the Senate race neck and neck with the Dems currently leading 48-46. I hate that I have to care so much when Democratic victory still ensures myriad problems, but at least it would be a step near the right direction.

Ah nice. I'll message you my phone number so you can call me. I don't venture into DC as a general rule, honestly, so maybe we can meet on the outskirts of the city.

Went to Thai Son on Baxter St. for Vietnamese. It was really good and simple and cheap. Tons of food. Still have leftover frogs' legs, but reheated frogs' legs aren't really doing it for me. Imagine that.

I got up at 4 am, worked a 15 hour shift where everything that could go wrong did, and the yankees still haven't clitched. Friend lost their ipod, other friend had car totalled in hit and run accident, seemed like a shitty day.
I miss that sleeping until 6 pm thing.

Yeah. I'm clean at the moment.
Today makes me rethink that.

Really good Vietnamese sandwich place on second avenue I believe.
Tasty.
I don't know where to get particularly good Pho in the city though if that is your taste.

Seriously, though, a question for those of you with poor eyesight: when it starts to go, is it like a steady, gradual decline, or are there good and bad days? 29 tomorrow and still 20/20 vision. So I can't help you. One thing I have noticed, however, is that lubrication is important for good vision (that one's gotta stay in context for obvious reasons.) There are lubricating eye drops out there that you might want to try if you're having problems - in high allergy season earier this year I noticed eye problems, went to the eye doctor and they said that my vision was fine, but my eyes were just dry. I started using the drops and they made a big difference.
And yeah, Vic and I were there last night. It was about as close to a religious experience as you can hope to get from a sporting event. Both of them played at an incredible level. I'm so sad to see Agassi leave tennis - he's the last of the truly great, all-around players (unlike the Federer "big serve" model
)
BTW - poker early on Sunday? (1ish?)
