My problem with color restorations is that there's no way of knowing its genuine. Its painted based on the mood of the restoration team and maybe some detailed written dailies (if they even existed). Although it sounds like an amazing find, i think I'd like to find the plain version on VHS.
As for the tattoo, I think I'd be awesome. I've thought of a similar one but somehow incorporating this masterpiece of my childhood into it.
