Neurosis was fucking amazing. The bus journey at either side of seeing them, however, was not. I lost my weekend so that I could spend two and a bit hours gawping at a band.

Sounds silly when you put it in those terms, doesn't it?

Name the film:

Exec #1: Item six on the agenda: "The Meaning of Life" Now uh, Harry, you've had some thoughts on this.
Exec #2: Yeah, I've had a team working on this over the past few weeks, and what we've come up with can be reduced to two fundamental concepts. One: People aren't wearing enough hats. Two: Matter is energy. In the universe there...

Ah well. The weekend draws near, but this one should prove to be neither restful or particularly drunken:

I'm going to see Neurosis in London!!!! biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

This, however, means the best part of twelve hours in the Megabus of Doom from Dundee to London, and then another twelve hours right back.

On the plus side, There's loads of folks I know going from Edinburgh and Glasgow,...

Ohohoho! Bring it on. I'm not cocky about many things, but Red Dwarf is one of them. One of the pictures I didn't add to my journal was of me doing the rimmer salute with my metallioc H stuck to my forehead blush

It's a sickness I tell thee.

Weird, it looks like kingofscots's band Errata are going their separate ways.

Shame, I have many happy memories of going to their gigs and acting like a loon. frown
soulfly:
Never got the chance to see them myself.

Damn.

Weekend was a brazen display of drunken incompetance par excellance. However, since watching Season One of Big Train on Saturday, I've been unable to get this song out of my head:

"Throw me a line im sinking fast
Clutching at straws cant make it
Havana sound were trying hard edge the hipster jiving
Last picture shows down the drive-in
Youre so sheer youre so...

Just been to see Blade Trinity. Even less story, plot and characterisation than the first two, but still pretty entertaining. Ryan Renolds basically played the same wisecracking smartass I've seen him do in everything, but it added a bit of life to the whole thing.

soulfly:
Was wondering if it as going to be any good.

Might go this weekend.
ladywook:
The girl looked like she kicked ass...will probably go see it myself too although I know it won't be all I want it to be

OK plans for the latter part of this week have fallen through due to my feeling-crapness. I will therefore not be going to see Sunn0))) in Glasgow this evening and my Dad won't be visiting this weekend. frown

I am going to sit in this flat until Monday now and kill this bugger of a flu stone dead!
sludgehead:
Shit that sucks, but Sunn0))) and the flu could be very dangerous.

I'll be keeping an eye on the IX website while i'm gone, just in case you put any more mp3's on there.

Well the cold took a turn for the worse today, adding the shakes and a fever to the mix.

Feeling thoroughly crappy. Off to bed.
soulfly:
Thats pretty fuct mate. get better soon. You're making a mess!!!!

How is the epic journey through Halo 2 progressing?
ladywook:
and moan you must, for what better place than the internet to moan to someone you can't see wink
make sure to pass your cold to someone else, i always find it makes mine go away faster biggrin

In the fifteen minutes it took me to walk from the flat to work this morning, I appear to have contracted the crappy cold to end all crappy colds. Haven't had one this bad in about two years.

Feck! frown
soulfly:
Aye, it could have been a lot worse.

Bad luck with the cold shit. I have just gotten rid of my third in as many months. mad mad
ladywook:
i ken what you mean, hun, i am still trying to get over my cold and it has been well over a week. trying losing your voice, that sucks even more cause then you can't moan about how shit you feel

Hmmmm. Weekend wasn't bad. Djing went well, the club got a fresh stock of Magners on the go, so I spent most of the night on that fine elixer. All in all, no complaints worth mentioning.

Now back to work for a few days, before heading to see Sunn0))) on Thursday night in Glasgow, and having my Dad visit on Friday.
