I spent today getting some designs together for my new portfolio site. It's looking nice. Hopefully i can build it tomorrow, bust the CV out Wednesday, and get my ass some work. Daddy needs some new Vinyl toys.
Holly's canceled Cool Schmool so it looks like i get to go to a notoriously hostile open mic night next Tuesday instead. I'm gutted as I won't get to enjoy her performing alongside some professional comics, but on the plus i get the trial of fire i need.
My last gig was a little sketchy, i think, purely because i didn't take a deep breath and believe in my material. I rushed it a little and that ruins the impact. I'm gonna go for a confident performance of the same set, tweaked with some more silly ideas. I love comedy to be about things and having a set on 'love' seems important. It'll be scary, but its a good test for my self belief. I must repeat: "Fuck it, i'm here to have fun".
I'm going for a tattoo consultation tomorrow. I booked it in after i got my cast off. I want to work on a design with the artist and then reflect on it until probably the new year. well, that's the idea. I want it all blacked in over my collar and shoulder and onto my back so its gonna be a serious piece.
I have the new lyrics for the beat i made last weekend so once i've got business sorted i'll record that.
Still no pay which is making life hard right now. I've made it this month but unless i get paid i wont have the rent for next. I need to seek legal advice, probably later this week.
Right, no ones in tonight so i'm gonna spin this song on repeat and enjoy a hot bath, v's going to soapy town. Rock amigos.
