Hey peoples, it's been a while.
I wish i could say I've been in the Lab, but things have just been crazy. last week i had an interview at DNX, the BBC , and Goldsmiths University for my MA interview. If i doubted my choice I now know im on to something as i got nervous before the interview. I have the itch to record music this week which feels exciting.. its been lacking for a while as i've been more thoughts then heart. today my stomacks been knotted.
For those who care i finally saw Juno and despite ridding out a Red Bull induced heart murmur was stunned by its humor and sensitivity. On Rhia's education i will dig into the writer, if she has some books on the cards too ill be stoked. still nead to read the novel of fight club... im reading Philip K dick right now.
Saturday was my homeboys alexs bday party (his bday is today though..cake soon!) which turned out to be a great evening. The stroke of genius by mark_plus_beer to bring pirate tattoo transfers (good ones!) and party hats (despite my irational hatred of party hat string) set an evening of good chat and STILL undefeated table football (sad, i know). one day i will meet my maker over the table of twirly men, who will probably be seven and wearing a 50-cent tshirt, or was that my skating nemisis? so shouts to all of you who came, i appreciate your company.
Sunday was precious, i haven't felt so relaxed and happy in a long while. I miss it.
Today i started my new (contract) web job which was OK. I will not judge people on one day but things seemed cool. At least i'm my own boss and getting payed (in full).
My mum laid her mother and father to rest together today. I couldn't make it because of the job. Bill (My Grandad) was my hero, he was a soldier who falling in love with my German Nan risked everything to smuggle her out from Germany. He taught me tolerance is the key for self (and even world) peace, patience is rewarding, and respect more powerful then front. He explained to me how a plane stays in the sky and read to me the Rohl Dahl books that shaped my imagination and sense for (as Dahl taught) individuality. Im sad i couldn't hold my mums hand today, i need to do something nice for her.
So all in all I give thanks (for the chocolate cake I'm about to receive).
