Hello.... my name is Birch.... Birch Sinclair..... Maybe some of you remember.... I made my debut in Voltaire's journal on October 24th, 2002......Today Voltaire is too busy to write a journal entry, so I'm doing it for her..... In case you couldn't figure it out, I'm her cat...
Right now Voltaire is wearing light blue pajamas with dark blue dragonflies on them and eating cheerios, while cleaning out her closet... she let me have a couple of her cherios, and some of the soy milk too.... my Mom's the bomb... even though she looks kinda funny right now..... She worships the ground I walk on....
My new favorite things to do since we moved to LA are sleeping on top of mom's computer monitor, sleeping in the towel drawer, sleeping on top of the refrigerator, looking out the window at all the freaks walking down Highland, makinglots of loud noises while mom's trying to sleep, scratching the ficus tree that will probably end up dying becuase of me.....
I am the cutest thing you've ever seen.... FOR REAL... I'm a golden brown tabby with white paws, and spots instead of stripes....all of my markings are perfectly symetrical... I have yellowish green eyes.... I am tiny, even though I am almost two years old. I only weigh about five pounds.
I like to go for rides in the car but not when they end at the beach... I hate the beach... Voltaire took me there when we first moved here and i couldn't stand it... Thev ocean was too loud and the whole place reminded me of a giant litter box, It was scary and big. I made voltaire hold me the whole time we were there... I hate the feeling of sand in my paws.... I like to go for walks on my leash, and I look super cute when I do....
I like LA alot better than Portland, But I miss my old house, and moms old room mates.... Our house was huge, our apartment here is tiny..... I miss being able to run around indoors... meow.... well i guess that's all i have this time around, maybe voltaire will let me write again sometime.....

oh, she says i have to answer them too...
1. mom's computer is in the corner of the living room.... I like it there, because It's sunny, and I can see out the window, and look at the trees, and birds....
2. no, but I think voltaire's thinking about getting a little bunny... that might be cool.... for me to play with..... wait a minute... Don't bunnies BITE???
3. the sound of traffic on highland, and that electro cd that some member of the site gave my mom.... she really likes it......If I remenber correctly he made it, and his name's Dr_H.....
Voltaire is such a dork. You should see her... she's painting her cell phone with glitter nail polish... i wonder if it will still work......

1. My computer is in my "work room" on the second floor of our house here in the St. Johns district of Portland. It gets toooo hot in the summer to stay upstairs for too long; consequently, not much gets done on the computer during the summer!
2. As previously mentioned, Marvin is our big black tomcat who wandered into our lives last year. He is pretty much King of all he surveys. We named him Marvin because with his colorless eyes in his black face, he looks like Marvin the Martian.
3. Right now I am listening to the sound of the fan on my hard drive whirring away. It's toooo loud, I hate it! Earlier today I was listening to my new Dr. Theopolis CD. Funky!!
2. two dogs. and a cat. my favorite dog is the dalmation. he's 15 and crooked. he broke his back about 7 years ago. almost didnt make it. but a month later he was runnin' around all crooked. he's a lover. but he smells bad no matter how much i wash him. and he loves to eat this plant out front that gives him giardia.. which results in a sort of montezumas revenge for dogs. the other one is mah ma's shitzu. named houston. like the porn star. because the dogs always lyin on her back in front of our front door with her little box exposed. the hussy.
3. some show on food network about louisville and whiskey. and i'm awful thirsty.
if you've never been to brazil, you should go if you get a chance. it's amazing.
