I'm totally starving right now..... and i'm too lazy to cook just now..... maybe this toast will hold me over......
My weekend was interesting to say the least...... Fiday night I just stayed in and rest4ed.... I think I was even fast asleep by 11pm.......a new record for me.... usually I can't go to bed before 1am.....
Saturday, I took care of all things domestic... You know... laundry, general house cleaning, you get the idea...... I also made some red pepper pesto, that came out great... I had it on toasted sourdough french bread, with a little parmesan melted on top... It was divine...... I also made artichoke pesto for sundays dinner, to save me some time..... went to a show that night at a club called the garage. It was okay..... all the bands really sucked..... my friends band was okay, but
I couldn't get past thier singer... He didn't suck, but his vocal style didn't fit the music.... they had some go-go dancers there too... they couldn't dance.... thier movements were really stiff, and jerky..... they looked really awkward.... One of my friends gave me a couple of somas, but I don't really know anything about them, so they're sitting in a little container on my desk... I'm going to give them to a friend that will actually take them, and enjoy them..... they're just not my thing.....................anyway, so I get back from the show, and the fire dept is in the parking garage of my building..... I guess they evacuated everyone from the building, because there was a fire in the trash chute... but the building didn't burn down, and our place was fine, and so was little birch.... so that's all that matters to me.... Now, if I could just get them to clean up the broken glass from the fire extinguisher in the hall......
Sunday was super lazy... I got up went to breakfast, bought two super rad vintage slips from a little hole in the wall thrift store, went to coffee, bought incense on melrose, smokedc a little pot with my neighbors, made pasta with artichoke pesto, a cucumber and orange tomato salad, and seved them both with seared halibut steaks topped with lime shallot butter..... oh, and a dry chardonnay for all the wine snobs out there....... It was fantastic............. Then I settled down to watch the special about Nefertiti on discovery channel..... It was good, but not as good as they had hyped it up to be........ Oh well.........
Today, I am going to the health food store, to try to find some avocado oil for my hair and skin....... that stuf is expensive, but oh so nice.........
well, I guess that's all for now... I couldn't get mt neighbor to do burlesque shows with me..... I understand though.... She's never danced before, and although I know she would go to support, she is scared because she thinks she won't be that good....... I'm still working on her..... she's sooooooo cute!
