Well after working for almost two weeks, the computer lines off the island were all down. They are finally back up so I have some time to play online until I go back to work tonight. It was kind of fun, being out in the field for a week or so. No rain at least. Not much sleep either. So I spent most of my two days off sleeping. :-) Lotsa wierd dreams & nightmares. One ended with my capture by some Evil(tm) man in a trenchcoat and mask. He had cut lots of deep long cuts into my skin and put these little clay pyramids with a grey eye in the center intot the cuts so that I could not get away again. The nightmare even had a sort of closing credits...the Evil's name was Fealty and he had a little crony named Manne. It was very Dark City. I need to find some way to film these things.
oh yeah...and in the process of crawling around on my belly out in the field sneaking around...I crushed my glasses completly. pretzel specz. I had forgotten they were in my breast pocket while I had the night vision thingys strapped to my face. Anyway the replacement specs I was issued yesterday are easily the DORKIEST things ever concieved in the world of optomotricks. I kinda like them though...think I'll keep 'em even after my regular glasses come in. :-)

In October everything here is orange and red and yellow and pretty and its not cold and not warm... love it!
