Well hello there everybody. just a quick update for now. I've moved yet again. Now we are based out of Foward Operating Base Ramadi and should be around here for a while. no telling how long since we are detached and sort of subject to the whimsy of much higher command structures.
the foot is ok. turns out what they thought was a fracture was an old fracture from High School that healed badly. So, I'm not even in a cast and I should be back to work doing what I do in a matter of days.
the dog is gone. the unit we are attached to's SGTMJR made us get rid of her. there's a Marine Corps order about keeping pets....health concerns and all that. so we had to find someone else who was willing to take care of her. we'll still work on getting her "rescued" and sent back to the States and we're keeping tabs on how she's doing (puppies get big quick!) we miss her out here, but it's pretty busy so we might not have had the time to really take care of her anyhow.
Things are busy, elections are coming up, but at least the Fallujah chapter is over for us. on to bigger and better things.
ack! just found out my 25 yr old brother is having a kid! I guess that means I'll be an Uncle sometime in the near future. YAY a young mind to corrupt and play with! mwahahahaha

How are you connecting from Iraq? Wireless, or from your unit's PCs?
