Well it seems that the time for wandering has begun. Even though I am still working and haven't left on my road trip per se as of yet. I am sorta just free floating between various friends' houses and my car and my dad's place. it's somewhat maddening and fun all at the same time. it'll get even crazier once I kick this roadtrip off. money actually seems to be not so much a problem at the moment...for the first time in...well ever, I actually have a decent enough savings to not worry overly much. and when I file my taxes for the last 4 years, I should get a good amount back! 
assuming they don't penalize me for waiting so long to file. but...all in all...life is good. my body is incredibly super sore today from loading and unloading trucks full of spent ammo casing from this last weekend's battalion field exercise and USMC martial arts and groundfighting training. that's right a bunch of men in uniform rolling around in the mud wrasslin'. woo hoo. hot stuff 
my poor cat has moved in at my dad's house and is confused and scared and it sucks because I have to stay in Austin to work so I won't be there to reassure him. He'll be better in a while, but I still feel like a bad parent. the poor kid doesn't know wether to kill or run from the stepmother's dachsund. it sucks to be a military brat.
but that's about all that is going on fer now. I won't have much access to the web for a while...so I hope you are all doing well and I will talk to you again when I can!

Thanks for your journal entry! I thought about how you're a marine when I was writing it and was afraid that it would offend you, so i'm so glad you agree!
I just think that waging a war is a big thing and that it will cost many lives for both countries. It should only be waged for something really important, with lots of evidence to back up the reason. It is easy for big leaders to declare a war when they are not the ones fighting in it. It's too bad it's not like the olden days, when kings would ride out with their own troops to meet the enemy in battle. If things were that way now, I don't think Dubya would be so hasty to jump to conclusions.
