now for a caffinated/lack of food fueled random babble.
it's just been that kind of day. a herky jerky wierd offset, looking through the fishbowl kinda day. I credit a lot of this to the caffine intake which was randomly high today. I used to consume mass quantities of coffee, but I don't have much of an addictive nature so I lay off it for long periods of time. today, for whatever reason, I drank too much coffee and ate too little (soon to be remedied. Pizza is on the way) and so it has exacerbated the odd state that I'm in.
it was a AAAAAAAUGH kinda morning where I woke up ten minutes after I was supposed to be at the gym for PT with the language platoon but I made it over there double time and didn't get much shit for it. but it was a cattle prod to the ass kinda way to wake up. I'm overly responsible at times and I stress the little shit while the bigger issues just sort float by.
Everybody else left today to go on leave (that's mini vacation to those nonmilitary) I'm still here because my language training doesn't wrap up until next week. so I have a whole barracks building just about to myself. it's a strange thing after two months of being with my unit. It's nice actually. I definitly value my solitude.
but it's strange not having the guys around.
it's getting a bit sketchy too. skittish. time's getting short and everyone here feels it. once we get back from our time off, it's not too much longer and we're getting on a plane bound for an uncertain place.
we don't really know anything. we've been given an idea of where we're going and what we'll be doing, but there's always a good chance that everything we've been told (intentionally or not) is bullshit. it's happened before.
what I'm looking at doing over there could either be interesting and actually kinda fun...or harrowing beyond belief...it's all up in the air.
sometimes I think I am not at all suited to this particular line of work. But I AM good at it. no braggadocio....it's just something I've been involved with and prepped for for most of the last 10 years. I don't really know much else.
and here we go. soon.
anyhow. I don't feel stressed so much as the anxious of this waiting. it's like the arrow sitting on the string just waiting.
I'm hoping my vacation in SF will alleviate some of that. and I will actually probably forget everything about all this when i am there. I dunno.
guess it's one of those everything matters/nothing matters anymore kinda days.
oh yeah. and if ONE more person tells me I look "kinda like Micheal Keaton" I am going to slap them.
*preemptive slap to all you smartasses out there....two for Mistersatan *

YES. Exactly.
And the Keaton idiots can dream on. He couldn't touch your good looks.
You're born exactly 2 days after me, also, how odd
Do you mind if I add you to my little list of friends?
