Just updating to say that in exactly one week I will be on a bus bound for San Francisco!!! 
I'm excited to get out of this military universe even for just a while and head out to one of the cities that I've had some good days in...just walking from Downtown to the park and around and all over. I wish Bionicfemme was still in town to hang out with, but I hear tell there's some pretty cool folks on out there. It'll be good to be among people who don't count grunting and snorts as a major portion of thier vocabulary. (not that most Marines are imbeciles incapable of speech..it's just a lot of out communication doesn't require more than a particular intonation of the syllable "ur" ) .
oh! and I keep meaning to post these. I've been ordering Chinese food on occasion to break up the monotony of chowhall food...and I've been getting pretty interesting fortunes in my cookies. I'll share them here. I had to hunt them all up.
1: "Keep your plans secret for now."
ooooh operational security!
2: "You will travel far and wide, both for business and pleasure."
yeah no kidding.
though I do plan to go to europe again so that second bit is good.
3: last week- : "You will soon be involved in many gatherings and parties."
you hear that SF!!??!?!
4: and then the other night and the BEST fortune...or maybe the worst I've ever gotten and I swear this is true:
" You have unusual equipment. for success, use it properly."
I'm keeping that one in my wallet I think.
anyhow. g'night all. gotta get back up early in the morn for a nice long run uphill in loose sand.
