VERY VERY quick update....just to say IIIIIII'M BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK! 
through the miracles of USB Cellphone modems and internet I find myself with some access to the internet that isn't monitered by Unkie Sam and isn't limited to 10 min at a time. SO. just to let you all know. I am still in 29 Palms California, the armpit of hell. Great place for desert training I suppose, but as far as I am concerned they can keep it.
I like warm weather but 120 degrees is ricockulous!
We've been out training at least 5 days a week in the desert firing ranges...running around doing infantry shit. I wish I could tell y'all all about the training and where exactly I am headed and all that, but while it isn't exactly top secret...it's just best not to. besides what's sexier than secrecy? (A bottle of Chartreuse and a thunderstorm in New Orleans that's what!) anyhow. I miss you all and I hope everyone is doing well. I am up at this atrocious hour because we just got back from a 5 hour force march with 50lb packs through the training areas. I have to get up in about....4 hours for some classes in the morning and then I am cut loose. I'll try to be back on here again tomorrow afternoon. until then...take care....

It looks like I'll be getting about a week off from August 7th to the 14th. It's not really enough time to go home with and I don't want to do all the goodbyes again, so I am thinking that LA and probably SF better watch out, cause I just might be invading for a day or two.
