Happy Memorial Day,all.
Typically more a day to celebrate the beginning of the summer bbq and pool season than really a day to remember members of the military. Still, I hope the best for all SGers wearing the uniform (unless it's Air Force...just kidding!)
Pretty much moved in to my new apartment. I'll post some pics at the end. No movie this time. Been a pretty good weekend. Went down to San Antonio for most of it. Did some family stuff, had some bbq, swam in a pool. all the things done on Memorial Day weekend. good times. got to hang out with my two best friends down in San Antonio. go down to see them just about every weekend. they's the best. They've gotten me semi-hooked on Guitar Hero III...at least enough to where I am making honest attempts at beating songs rather than just air guitaring and looking silly. Of course they have been playing for hours a day for a month so they are way ahead of me.
It's always good times over there. Maria and I bring out the silliness in each other:
They have a boxer and a pug.
The pug insists that SHE is my best friend and always wants to be in my lap or next to me on the couch. The boxer is crazy, but fun.
watched the new IJ. twas okay. I liked it more than my friends. it had some plot points that I was a bit "enh" over, but I thought it was enjoyable. would rather have seen someone else for Henry III, but Shia's ok. At least he looks something like Marion.
then we came back and played poker. Maria is learning Texas Hold 'Em. so we had a few people who have been playing for a while over and stayed up late. Of course, Maria beat everyone without really knowing why she was beating them.
watched Juno again last night. still hilarious.
lots of bike riding this weekend. great weather, though hot. Great thing is, this long holiday weekend means it is followed up by a short work week! gonna be busy though. I can already tell.
